About our history
United Transmission Services Ltd was established in 1989 with the aim of being a leading supplier of drivetrain assemblies and component parts to both the HGV and PSV industry.
Now with over 30 years of quality service in both parts sales and transmission repairs we are proud of our reputation for fast and efficient assistance and we fully understand the importance of our role in keeping your business running smoothly.
In line with the company’s commitment to providing consistent high quality in all aspects of business, ISO 9001 certification was achieved in 1997. The approval covers not only reconditioning and stockholding of transmission units, it also includes sales and distribution of components for commercial vehicles. Quality is not something, which we do once and then leave alone. It is part of our every-day focus, and part of our culture as a company must be constantly improving in every aspect of operations. We continue to review the suitability of our management system, procedures, technological advances and working practices in conjunction with demands and expectations from our clients.
The company carries an extensive stock of service exchange gearboxes and differentials ready for immediate delivery. Cost of repair is a popular option. Customers own units are repaired on a time and material basis. This can often result in savings of up to 40% from the service exchange price.
For operators or reconditioners who carry out their own repairs we have extensive stocks of replacement transmission and differential parts at savings of up to 70% against OE prices.
